Ran Takahashi is a 20-year old Japanese volleyball player who is considered as one of the RISING STAR in the international volleyball scene. He made his first international debut at the VNL 2021 held at Italy where he showed his potential as the Japan’s future in volleyball. During the matches, he showed his strong and stable serve-receive skills and his powerful swings and spikes. He also competed in the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics alongside Yuki Ishikawa, Yuji Nishida, and the whole Japan Team. They ended their Olympic stint in the quarterfinals after an upset match with Brazil.
Ran made his name known during the 2020 Spring High Tournament (Haruko) where the team he led as the captain, Higashiyama High School Volleyball club, won the championship without losing any sets from preliminaries to finals. He was also awarded as the Spring High MVP. On February that same year, he was invited to join the Japanese Senior National Team proving that he finally shone with his skills. With more experience and hard work, Ran is out there to prove that he’s the future of Japan’s volleyball and a force to be reckoned with.
